- Payment history: Your current loan must show that you have made all payments on time for a minimum of six months although you are allowed one late payment in the previous 12 months.
- Prior history with HARP: For an Estero HARP refinance that was done under the prior HARP program, the HARP2 is not avaialble. HARP2 is only for refinancing loans that were not eligible under the original HARP or borrowers who did not use the original HARP.
Many Florida refinance candidates will be eligible for the HARP2 program since they either did not take advantage of the original HARP or because their home has lost additional value. There is no minimum credit score to be eligible for the HARP2 program and borrowers who have a second mortgage on their home are eligible as well.
